setvol Reference

setvol -- modify volume bootstrap, kernel, and boot flags

Synopsis

setvol [-b image] [-B] [-k image] volume

Description

The setvol utility displays allows the bootstrap or kernel image of an existing volume to be modified, and also enables various volume flags to be set. At least one of the options must be used.

The following options are available:

-k image

Write the specified binary file image as the loadable kernel image.

-b image

Write the specified binary file image as the bootstrap image. Sets the BOOT flag in the volume header.

-B

Make the volume non-bootable.

There needs to be an option to set the iplSysId.
